Join us for The Great Pumpkin Show, where creativity meets community! People of all ages are invited to decorate their own pumpkins at home and bring them to the library for a special display.

Here’s how it works:
1. Grab a pumpkin from a local farm or store. Choose your favorite size and shape!
2. Get Creative: Use paint, markers, glitter, and other craft supplies to decorate your pumpkin*. Let your imagination run wild—go for spooky, silly, or seasonal designs!
3. Between October 15th and 18th, bring your pumpkin to the library. We’ll have a designated area to display all your creations!
4. All pumpkins will be on display until November 1st. You can pick up your pumpkin between November 1st and 5th.
*Note: Please don’t puncture or carve your pumpkin. We will dispose of rotting pumpkins!

We welcome Fayette County native and bestselling children's and YA author Margaret Peterson Haddix to speak about her career, her craft, and her current projects.

The author will be available for photos and autographs, and her books will be available for purchase at the event, courtesy of Books 'N' More.

Through the art of collage-making, participants will explore their hopes for the year ahead using images, words, and symbols to bring their dreams to life. Whether it's personal growth, career goals, or simple everyday joys, this workshop will help you focus your energy and get excited about the possibilities of the new year.

Featuring special guest hosts, you can compete as an individual, or as a representative from your workplace or organization.
